Kabaka Foundation Honored at the 2nd Ghana Health Service Excellence Awards

On November 20th, 2024, the Kabaka Foundation, led by Chairman Nana Owiredu Wadie I, was celebrated at the prestigious 2nd Ghana Health Service Excellence Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre. This special recognition was awarded for the foundation’s outstanding contributions to reducing antenatal mortality rates and improving healthcare delivery in Ghana.

A Recognition of Impactful Health Initiatives

The Ghana Health Service Council and Director-General commended Kabaka Foundation’s commitment to advancing healthcare through impactful projects and initiatives. The foundation’s contributions, particularly at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua, have left an indelible mark, benefitting thousands of women, children, and vulnerable communities.

Transforming Lives Through Healthcare

Under the visionary leadership of Nana Owiredu Wadie I, the Kabaka Foundation has undertaken numerous healthcare initiatives, including:

  • The construction and handover of the Daasebre Kwaku Boateng Mother and Baby Care Unit at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
  • Donations of medical equipment, payment of hospital bills for needy mothers, and refurbishment of neonatal and prenatal wards.
  • Support for sustainable healthcare infrastructure to enhance maternal and neonatal care.

These efforts have contributed significantly to improving antenatal and postnatal care, aligning with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

In his acceptance remarks on behalf of Nana Owiredu Wadie 1, Mr Henry Larbi,  reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to uplifting the needy and vulnerable:
