On December 28th, 2024, the Kabaka Foundation, under the leadership of Chairman Nana Owiredu Wadie I, brought the festive season to life through impactful contributions to the Koforidua community.

Supporting Sports and Community Spirit

As part of its commitment to promoting community engagement, the foundation sponsored Okwahu United FC with a set of musical instruments and Christmas supplies for their supporters in Koforidua. The donation, valued at GHS 15,000, aimed to enhance the football club’s activities and foster a sense of unity and celebration among its fans during the festive season.

Chairing the Fundraising Dinner for Koforidua Rural Bank PLC

Later that evening, Nana Owiredu Wadie I chaired a fundraising dinner dedicated to the establishment of the Koforidua Rural Bank PLC. Demonstrating the Kabaka Foundation’s dedication to economic empowerment and financial inclusion, the Chairman personally donated GHS 500,000 to support this initiative.

This significant contribution reflects the foundation’s alignment with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, as the establishment of the rural bank is expected to provide financial services to underserved communities, promote local entrepreneurship, and drive economic development in the region.

Impacting Lives, Strengthening Communities

Nana Owiredu Wadie I shared his vision during the event:
“Our efforts are driven by the belief that strong communities are built on shared opportunities and collective growth. Whether through sports, financial empowerment, or grassroots initiatives, Kabaka Foundation will continue to invest in the well-being and progress of our people.”

A Year of Impact and Hope

The dual events capped a remarkable year for the Kabaka Foundation, marked by numerous initiatives that transformed lives across Ghana. These activities underscore the foundation’s commitment to improving health, education, economic empowerment, and community development.
