In 2024, Kabaka Foundation Ghana celebrated a landmark achievement with the completion and handover of the Nana Owiredu 1 Kindergarten Block to the Asikasu Presbyterian Basic School. This state-of-the-art facility provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for over 100 young learners in the community.
Designed to promote early childhood education (aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education), the kindergarten block features spacious classrooms, ergonomic furniture, and colorful teaching aids. Additionally, a rainwater harvesting system ensures access to clean water, addressing SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
The project also created jobs for local artisans during its construction, advancing SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. During the handover ceremony, we also distributed school supplies, uniforms, and teaching materials to support students and teachers alike.
The smiles on the children’s faces and the gratitude expressed by parents and educators remind us of the power of compassion and collaboration. This project not only transformed a school but also brought renewed hope to an entire community.
